I approached the house slowly, afraid to make any noise that would alert the shadows moving around in it. Keeping my knife close to me, I started towards it again, halfway across the driveway. I had to kill them. I just had to. I needed to. The door was silent as I opened it, we'll oiled and brass polished to a mirror like sheen.
I found the little one hiding under her bed, taking her back to my car as she was passed out from fear and exhaustion. I didn't have too much trouble with her. As I went back in and continued my search, I froze when I saw a trail of silvery footsteps leading to the lower level, the place I was most scared to walk into. It was so obvious.
I opened the door to the art room slowly. In it there was painting after grotesque painting, depicting terrible scenes. I nearly gagged just looking around. In the very back however, I found them. My parents were already dead. I looked up, sensing someone watching me.
The murderer was standing on the other side of the room, a crazed look in her eye. I turned to run, but slammed into something. I looked up into her eyes, into my death. The last thing I thought was that I should have known it was a mirror.
